About the Role

The First Nations Health Authority is seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to fill the position of Wellness Initiative Senior Coordinator. As a key member of the Primary Care Team, you will be responsible for providing senior coordination support to the development and implementation of various Primary Care and Health and Wellness events, engagements, and workshops for the FNHA in collaboration with First Nations, key departments of FNHA, and FNHA health system partners.

You will coordinate initiatives, resources, and tools aligned with the BC First Nations Perspective on Primary Care and Health and Wellness, including leadership challenges, days of wellness events across the region, and sharing health and wellness stories and innovations region-wide.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have/be:

  • Diploma with demonstrated coursework in First Nations studies, plus 1 to 2 years of significant, recent, and relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience in the regional health authority systems/services, and in particular working with First Nations individuals, communities, or organizations on issues related to health and wellness
  • Recent, relevant experience, at a coordinator level, in coordination, work planning, budgeting, and implementation of activities
  • Proficient in Microsoft systems, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; SharePoint and OneNote proficiency are assets
