Healthcare Initiative Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Healthcare Initiative Specialist to join our team at the First Nations Health Authority. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work collaboratively with First Nations individuals, communities, and organizations on health and wellness initiatives.
About the RoleThe Healthcare Initiative Specialist will provide coordination support for the development and implementation of various Primary Care and Health and Wellness events, engagements, and workshops. Key responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with First Nations, key departments of FNHA, and health system partners to develop and implement event plans.
- Coordinating resources and tools aligned with the BC First Nations Perspective on Primary Care and Health and Wellness.
- Supporting leadership challenges, days of wellness events, and sharing health and wellness stories and innovations region-wide.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A diploma in First Nations studies or equivalent experience.
- Experience working in regional health authority systems and services, particularly with First Nations individuals, communities, or organizations on health and wellness issues.
- Recent experience as a coordinator in coordination, work planning, budgeting, and implementation of activities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft systems, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and OneNote.
