Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented EHS Administrator to join our team at Aecon Concessions. As a key member of our Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to the EHS team, including data entry, record-keeping, and reporting.
  • Translate EHS communications materials from English to French to ensure effective communication with bilingual stakeholders.
  • Assist with the administration of EHS digital systems, including SiteDocs and Cority.
  • Coordinate the preparation and delivery of various EHS communications, including safety awareness and educational materials.
  • Research, write, and edit engaging and informative content for the company intranet to promote a culture of safety and well-being.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of EHS programs and initiatives to improve site safety and reduce risks.
  • Collaborate with the EHS team to identify and address safety concerns and develop solutions to improve workplace safety.
Requirements
  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a university or college degree/diploma in health and safety, business, communications, or a related field.
  • Bilingual in English and French.
  • Knowledge of construction site safety requirements and/or provincial legislation is an asset.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Prior experience with PowerBi is considered an asset.
  • Digital/social media savvy is an asset.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including experience in creating and delivering communications.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills are required.
  • Ability to be self-motivated and work effectively with minimal direction.
  • Effective organizational skills to meet multiple deadlines and handle multiple tasks in a high-pressure work environment.
  • Collaborative team approach and ability to build successful working relationships with clients and project teams.
