Position Overview

Avient Corporation is in search of a dedicated Plant Administrator to join our team on the 1st shift.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Execute a range of administrative tasks, including report preparation, mail processing, and document organization.
  2. Finalize production process orders and make necessary adjustments.
  3. Manage Outbound Sales order deliveries utilizing the SAP system.
  4. Oversee the management of Colour Chip and Quality documentation for outgoing shipments.
  5. Maintain and update production records, including training and plant documentation.
  6. Handle outbound shipments via FedEx and other courier services for lab samples and documents.
  7. Monitor and replenish office supply inventory as needed.
  8. Assist the laboratory with Technical Application Request (TAR) data entry and closure.
  9. Support the lab in organizing colour chips, documents, and samples.
  10. Coordinate incoming colour match samples and related materials for the lab.
  11. Provide assistance to Plant Management with timekeeping and attendance records.
  12. Deliver general administrative support to the plant and may guide other staff in administrative tasks.
  13. Welcome and manage contractors and visitors to the facility.
  14. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a manufacturing plant environment, particularly in office and colour laboratory settings.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and proficiency in mathematics; experience with ERP systems, particularly SAP, is preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse individuals and departments.

Physical Requirements

This role requires the ability to stand and sit for extended periods, as well as effective communication skills. Candidates should be capable of walking and using their hands for repetitive tasks, such as data entry. The work environment is primarily office-based, with occasional exposure to a louder manufacturing setting.
