Production Support Specialist

Position Overview
Avient Corporation is looking for a dedicated Operations Administrator to join our team. This role is essential for ensuring smooth administrative operations within our manufacturing facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute a range of office administrative tasks, including the preparation of reports and documentation, managing correspondence, and organizing files.
- Handle the closing and final adjustments of production process orders.
- Manage Outbound Sales order deliveries within the SAP system.
- Oversee the Colour Chip and Quality document management for outbound shipments.
- Maintain and update production records, including filing and managing training and plant records.
- Coordinate outbound shipments via FedEx and other courier services for lab samples and documents.
- Monitor and replenish office supply inventory as needed.
- Assist the laboratory with Technical Application Request (TAR) input and closure.
- Support the lab in organizing colour chips, documents, and samples.
- Facilitate the receipt of incoming colour match samples and QC resins for the lab.
- Provide assistance to Plant Management with timekeeping and attendance tracking.
- Deliver general administrative support to the plant and may guide other staff in administrative tasks.
- Manage the greeting and control of contractors and visitors at the facility.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Experience in a manufacturing environment, particularly in office and laboratory settings.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail and proficiency in mathematical skills; experience with ERP systems, particularly SAP, is preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with various individuals and departments, both in person and through electronic communication.
Physical Requirements
This position requires prolonged periods of standing and sitting, as well as effective communication skills. The role involves manual dexterity for repetitive tasks, such as data entry. The work environment is primarily office-based, with occasional exposure to a manufacturing setting.
