About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Customer Success Manager to join our team at Descartes. As a key member of our North American remote team, you will play a critical role in supporting engagement with our MK Data product, a solution that creates value for top global companies and ensures customers are following local and international government regulations and sanctions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Consultation: Act as a trusted advisor, providing strategic consultation and addressing customer inquiries to identify business needs and goals.
  • Retention and Growth: Proactively engage customers, develop action plans to optimize usage, and mitigate risk of churn, while identifying opportunities for growth and nurturing customers into advocates.
  • Account Management: Conduct data-driven, solution-oriented business reviews and success meetings, facilitating customer migration to our new web-based solution, and suggesting and negotiating additional features.
  • Collaboration: Work with Sales, Marketing, Product, and Implementation teams on webinar development, improvement/feature suggestions based on customer feedback, and staying up-to-date with technical changes, market conditions, government regulations, emerging trends, and initiatives involving competitive activities.
Requirements
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in a B2B customer-facing role, with a commercial mindset and focus on value for the customer.
  • Customer Focus: Exceptional communication, presentation, written, and negotiation skills, with the ability to build relationships and cultivate life-long business partnerships.
  • Business Planning: Ability to dig deep to understand organizational goals and business problems, effectively aligning solutions to address complex issues, and being metrics-driven and insightful.
