Senior Sous Chef

Location: Osoyoos, BC

Job Type: Seasonal Hourly Contract

Compensation: $24-$27/hour plus % of team gratuity program

Arterra Wines Canada is a leading wine producer in North America, proudly showcasing award-winning BC VQA wines in the stunning South Okanagan. We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Sous Chef to join our team and contribute to the unique story of our winery through exceptional guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor culinary staffing levels and inventory.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local farms and purveyors.
  • Communicate effectively with direct and indirect reports.
  • Design and execute seasonal menus and events.
  • Apply knowledge of food and wine pairings.
  • Implement organizational systems to ensure efficiency of day-to-day operations.
  • Assist in the hiring and training of seasonal staff.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 Years of Previous Culinary Experience
  • Red Seal Certification an Asset
  • Previous Private Events & Catering Experience an Asset
  • Food Safe Level 2 Certification
  • Experience and Knowledge of Wine and Food Pairing
  • Excellent organizational, time management, interpersonal & communications skills.
  • Ability to Multitask and has an Attention to Detail
  • Open Availability Scheduling
