About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at LA MARQUEZA MEXICAN FOODS. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading the kitchen and ensuring that our menu items are prepared to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning and Execution
    • Develop and implement menus that showcase our Mexican cuisine and meet the tastes and preferences of our customers.
    • Plan and execute menu items, including determining portion sizes and costs.
  • Kitchen Operations
    • Supervise and train kitchen staff to ensure that they are working efficiently and effectively.
    • Requisition food and kitchen supplies, and maintain inventory and records.
    • Clean and maintain the kitchen and work areas to ensure a safe and healthy environment.
  • Staff Management
    • Train and develop kitchen staff to improve their skills and knowledge.
    • Supervise and manage kitchen staff to ensure that they are meeting their responsibilities and contributing to the success of the kitchen.
  • Quality Control
    • Inspect food and kitchen areas to ensure that they meet our high standards.
    • Implement quality control measures to prevent foodborne illness and ensure that our menu items are prepared safely and consistently.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
    • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a kitchen or culinary role.
  • Skills and Qualifications
    • Safe Food Handling certificate.
    • Food Safety Certificate.
    • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make decisions quickly.
    • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy loads.
Working Conditions

The Executive Chef will work in a fast-paced kitchen environment, with a focus on providing excellent customer service and ensuring that our menu items are prepared to the highest standards. The successful candidate will be required to work a 40-hour week, with flexibility to work additional hours as needed.
