Arterra Wines Canada is a leading wine producer in North America, proudly showcasing award-winning BC VQA wines in the stunning South Okanagan. We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Sous Chef to join our team and contribute to the unique story of our winery through exceptional guest experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor culinary staffing levels and stock levels to ensure seamless operations.
- Develop and maintain relationships with local farms and purveyors to source high-quality ingredients.
- Communicate effectively with direct and indirect reports to ensure a positive and productive work environment.
- Design and execute seasonal menus and events that showcase our award-winning wines.
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of food and wine pairings to enhance the guest experience.
- Implement and maintain organizational systems to ensure efficiency and productivity in day-to-day operations.
- Assist in the hiring and training of seasonal staff to ensure a high level of culinary expertise.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 Years of Previous Culinary Experience
- Red Seal Certification an Asset
- Previous Private Events & Catering Experience an Asset
- Food Safe Level 2 Certification
- Experience and Knowledge of Wine and Food Pairing
- Excellent organizational, time management, interpersonal & communications skills.
- Ability to Multitask and has an Attention to Detail
- Open Availability Scheduling
