Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Office Assistant for the Paramedic Programs in Saskatoon.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service to students, staff, and the public, responding to inquiries and messages in a timely and professional manner.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, establishing strong working relationships and arranging meetings as required.
  • Accurately record and transcribe meeting notes, ensuring prompt distribution to relevant parties.
  • Type exams, quizzes, correspondence, and other documents with precision and attention to detail, utilizing medical terminology skills.
  • Maintain a secure and organized electronic filing system, ensuring confidentiality and control.
  • Monitor and maintain office supplies, retrieving as needed and ensuring equipment is functioning properly.

Requirements

  • Grade 12 diploma or equivalent, combined with a recognized secretarial certificate or diploma, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum one year of recent and relevant administrative and clerical experience.
  • Intermediate-level training in common software packages, such as MS Office Suite.
  • Experience in minute-taking and transcribing minutes.
  • Knowledge of common office procedures and effective interpersonal, communication, organizational, and proofreading skills.
  • Ability to work independently under generalized supervision and demonstrate a commitment to valuing diversity.
