Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Operations Coordinator to join our team at the Cree Board of Health and Social Services of James Bay (CBHSSJB). This role will be responsible for supporting the administrative functions of our organization.

About the Role

The Operations Coordinator will work closely with our management team to analyze needs, develop and implement operational strategies to improve service delivery. Key responsibilities include:

  • Participating in project activation and funding source identification;
  • Modifying budgets and monitoring costs and budget forecasts;
  • Entering and monitoring commitments in the financial system;
  • Maintaining contract oversight (signature and financial tracking);
  • E nsuring reimbursement follow-up;
  • Monitoring current projects under Entente 2014-2018, 2019-2023, and 2024-2031;
  • Controlling and monitoring the reimbursement process;
  • Preparing tender documents for the Project Office department;
  • Applying Conseil du trésor rules and directives;
  • Inviting suppliers/contractors for tenders less than $100,000;
  • Publishing and managing public calls for tenders over $100,000 on the electronic tendering system (SEAO);
  • Assisting the director for analysis purposes;
  • Periodically analyzing cost monitoring;
  • Participating in end-of-year activities (real estate transfer, monitoring of actual expenses, etc.);
  • Participating in department meetings;
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A Bachelor of Science in Administration, Human Resources Management, Industrial Relations or a related field;
  • The CPA designation is an asset;
  • At least three years of relevant experience;
  • Excellent skills in interpersonal communication, leadership, initiative, and teamwork;
  • Excellent written communication and presentation skills;
  • Excellent critical thinking, synthesis, planning, and decision-making skills;
  • Good computer skills with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint;
Language Skills

You must be fluent in English and French. Fluency in Cree is an asset.

Working Conditions

This role requires travel once a month within the Cree territory. We offer a competitive salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, commensurate with experience, plus benefits.
