About the Role
The Manager, Volunteer Resources is a key member of the Fraser Health team, responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating volunteer programs and services. This role requires a strong understanding of volunteer management principles and practices, as well as excellent leadership and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement volunteer programs and services that meet the needs of Fraser Health and the community.
- Recruit, train, and supervise volunteers to ensure they have a positive and productive experience.
- Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to promote volunteerism and engage the community in Fraser Health's mission.
- Develop and manage budgets, policies, and procedures related to volunteer programs and services.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of volunteer programs and services, and make recommendations for improvement.
Requirements
- Baccalaureate degree in Social Sciences, Education or Health related field.
- Certificate program in volunteer management from a recognized community college program.
- Five to seven years' recent, related experience, including two years in a management role or leadership role.
- Current membership with the Volunteer Management Professionals of Canada (VMPC).
