About the Role

The Manager, Volunteer Resources is a key member of the Fraser Health team, responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating volunteer programs and services. This role requires a strong understanding of volunteer management principles and practices, as well as excellent leadership and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop and implement volunteer programs and services that meet the needs of Fraser Health and the community.
  2. Recruit, train, and supervise volunteers to ensure they have a positive and productive experience.
  3. Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to promote volunteerism and engage the community in Fraser Health's mission.
  4. Develop and manage budgets, policies, and procedures related to volunteer programs and services.
  5. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of volunteer programs and services, and make recommendations for improvement.

Requirements

  • Baccalaureate degree in Social Sciences, Education or Health related field.
  • Certificate program in volunteer management from a recognized community college program.
  • Five to seven years' recent, related experience, including two years in a management role or leadership role.
  • Current membership with the Volunteer Management Professionals of Canada (VMPC).
