Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Generalist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for shaping our people strategy, driving organizational development, and enhancing our workplace culture.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HR-related matters.
  • Resolve issues with union partners in a proactive manner.
  • Coordinate aspects of appeal, grievance, harassment processes.
  • Manage employee disciplinary situations and terminations.
  • Implement performance management and evaluation systems.
  • Provide consultation, coaching, advice, and training on employee and labour relations, including interpretation of collective bargaining agreements.
  • Develop and update human resources policies and procedures.
  • Support staff wellness and safety programs.
  • Collaborate with the management team to implement strategic plans and operational policies.
Requirements
  • Education in HR with at least three years of progressive HR experience and one year of management/supervisory experience.
  • CPHR designation is a preferred asset.
  • Experience in a unionized environment working with collective agreements.
  • Knowledge of employment legislation.
  • Experience with ADP HR/Benefit and Workforce programs is an asset.
  • Successful clearance of a Enhanced Criminal Record Check.
