Senior Engineering Manager, Authentication Platform

About the Role:

You will be reporting to the Senior Engineering manager of our Remittance Risk team. Your responsibilities will include driving strategic vision, fostering technical excellence, and ensuring alignment with business needs to safeguard our users' data and provide a seamless access experience.

  • Collaborate closely with product managers to understand requirements, translate them into clear, actionable technical tasks, and guide the engineering team to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Own team planning and execution, including quarterly goals, resource allocation, and prioritization.
  • Be a role model in upholding Remitly's cultural values and use them as a framework to mentor other engineers across the company to achieve their full potential.
  • Make appropriate tradeoffs between schedule, features, and help the team make sound technical decisions.

You Have:

  • You have a BS (accepted) or MS (Preferred) in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.
  • You are experienced in defining technical designs, paradigms and processes across a team with an understanding of software development practices, system design, software design patterns, and algorithms.
  • 5+ years of experience building and managing a diverse and empowered teams.
  • An engineering mindset that stays technically curious and engaged in innovation and encourages learning in the team.
  • Thoughtful leadership with experience in hiring, coaching and retaining engineering talent with multiple needs for personal and professional growth.
  • Partner for product management and engineering leaders, equally passionate about working with engineering and non-engineering team members.
