Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled HR Business Partner to join our team at Runnymede Healthcare Centre. As an HR Business Partner, you will be responsible for providing strategic HR support to clients and management teams.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert HR advice on conflict resolution, performance matters, and general HR issues.
  • Stay up-to-date with current legislation, including the Employment Standards Act, Human Rights Code, Labour Relations Act, Pay Equity Act, and other relevant laws.
  • Prepare HR reports and ensure data accuracy and integrity in HR Information Systems.
  • Advise managers and staff on human resources best practices and policies.
  • Build strong relationships with employees, management, and key stakeholders to meet needs proactively.
  • Participate in developing and implementing HR policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Provide guidance on workplace violence, discrimination, and harassment, return-to-work, and modified work.
  • Ensure recruitment and selection comply with laws, policies, and collective agreements.
  • Represent the Hospital in labour relations and collective agreements administration.
  • Provide consultative services on employee and workplace issues, incident investigations, progressive discipline, and performance issues.
  • Assist in planning and developing collective bargaining strategies and researching existing Collective Agreements.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A university degree in Human Resources or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive HR experience in a unionized environment.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office and strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated decision-making ability, creative problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
Compensation:

The estimated salary range for this position is $85,000 - $110,000 per year, based on industry standards and market research in Toronto, Ontario.
