The Human Capital Department is seeking an experienced Sales Manager to join our team in Sydney, NS.

About the Role

This is a full-time position responsible for managing sales functions at our Sydney location. As Sales Manager, you will work closely with the Branch Manager to develop and implement sales strategies, provide guidance on sales processes, and coach sales professionals. Your primary focus will be on branch inventory audits and collaborating with the Sales, Parts, and Service Departments to create a cohesive sales environment.

Responsibilities
  • Work with sales teams to drive sales of machinery in your defined sales area
  • Stay up-to-date on product knowledge, features, and benefits of all equipment
  • Monitor competitive activity/products and communicate findings to management
  • Assist with customer events and field demonstrations as needed
  • Maintain knowledge of financing options and support sales teams in securing purchases
  • Attend relevant sales training events as required
  • Collaborate with used equipment process to ensure accurate valuations and drive sales growth
  • Support sales reps in achieving annual sales goals and growing market share
  • Submit sales accurately and in a timely manner, adhering to sales processes
  • Provide guidance to new sales staff on our sales process and help them increase sales volume
Qualifications
  • Experience in equipment sales
  • Knowledge of turf equipment operations is an asset
  • Ability to use standard desktop software applications, including Microsoft Office and internet functions
  • Flexibility to work varying hours
  • Excellent customer relationship skills
  • Basic analytical skills for interpreting sales reports
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
