Landmark Credit Union is committed to putting people first and creating a culture of inclusion and collaboration. As a Finance Controller - Member Service Specialist, you will play a key role in supporting our members' financial wellbeing and helping them achieve their goals.

About the Role

This position reports to the Branch Manager or Assistant Branch Manager and is responsible for assisting members with their financial needs while providing exceptional member service. You will work closely with members to understand their financial goals and provide personalized solutions to meet their needs.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Assist members with loan applications and input loans into the system
  2. Provide excellent customer service and respond to member inquiries in a timely and professional manner
  3. Open deposit product accounts and take applications for non-real estate credit products
  4. Support the overall functions of the branch and work collaboratively with other team members
  5. Educate members on the use of automated systems and set them up for these services
  6. Resolve member issues and problems in a fair and consistent manner

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent with a minimum of two years of customer service or sales experience preferably within a financial institution
  • Prior teller or lending experience preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and explain credit bureau reports and liaise with members in satisfying loan stipulations
  • Demonstrated ability in understanding and recommending appropriate deposit and loan products based on member need
  • Demonstrated ability in providing excellent customer service
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, organizational skills and the ability to work independently
