About The Role:

We are seeking a Senior Director to lead the TDEF Equipment Financed business, providing equipment financing to eligible business clients. This role will set business goals and strategies, manage client relationships, and oversee credit and risk management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Business Development: Assist in executing business plans, setting goals, and coaching the Unit to achieve profitable business activities.
  • Clients Relationship: Retain good quality clients to help achieve business goals.
  • Economic Profit: Contribute to the business's economic profit by meeting pricing objectives and maximizing recovery of funds.
  • Risk Management: Minimize loss to the Unit by timely response to deteriorating situations.
  • Recovery Strategies: Maximize recovery to the Unit with creative restructuring solutions.
  • Operational Efficiency: Control costs with sensible use of third-party professionals.
  • Industry Relationships: Maintain strategic relationships with industry contacts and ensure access to appraisal data.

Accountabilities:

  • Credit Assessment: Assess and adjudicate credit applications with appropriate risk assessment and credit structure.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure the EMG, LRG, and collections teams operate in a compliant manner, minimizing regulatory compliance and operational risk.
  • High-Risk Accounts: Oversee the management of higher risk accounts to minimize loss to the Unit.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in finance, Commerce, or related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of management experience and 10 years of experience in Commercial Credit.
  • Languages: Bilingual (French & English) is an asset.
