About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Financial Controller to join our team at Adi Development Group. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for providing strategic financial guidance and oversight to ensure the company's financial success.

Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting and Analysis: Develop and implement effective financial reporting systems to provide timely and accurate financial information to stakeholders.
  • Financial Planning and Budgeting: Collaborate with senior management to develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial plans to drive business growth and profitability.
  • Financial Governance and Risk Management: Ensure adherence to accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal controls to mitigate financial risk and ensure compliance.
  • Leadership and Team Management: Provide guidance, support, and development opportunities to junior team members to enhance their skills and contribute to the team's overall performance.
  • Cash Flow and Treasury Management: Oversee cash flow management, including investments, funding, and treasury operations to optimize liquidity and minimize risk.
  • Insurance and Tax Compliance: Manage relationships with insurance providers and oversee compliance with all required federal, provincial, local, payroll, property, and other applicable taxes.
  • Other Duties: Perform other duties as required to ensure the smooth operation of the finance department.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting: Possess a Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting with a professional certification (CPA) from a recognized institution.
  • Construction Industry Experience: Have relevant experience working in the construction industry, preferably with companies that have operated in Canada.
  • Technical Skills: Be proficient in Sage, Procore, TimberScan, and CRM systems, as well as advanced knowledge of Excel and QuickBooks.
  • Leadership and Communication Skills: Demonstrate strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and build relationships with stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills: Showcase exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills to identify areas for improvement and develop solutions to drive business growth and profitability.
