Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Business Partner to join our team in Montreal, Quebec. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic HR support to our project teams, including recruitment, employee relations, talent management, and governance.

The ideal candidate will have a post-secondary education in Human Resources Management or Project Administration, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a progressive HR role. Bilingualism (English and French) is essential, with excellent computer skills and proficiency in MS Office.

About the Opportunity
  • This is a unique opportunity to work on high-profile infrastructure projects in Montreal, partnering with JV's to deliver complex civil projects.
  • The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping the HR strategy for the project, ensuring that it aligns with the business objectives and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Recruitment:
  • Work with project teams to define role requirements, develop job profiles, and conduct job analysis.
  • Provide headcount projections and strategic workforce planning support.
  • Facilitate the recruitment process, including interviews and selection.
Employee Relations:
  • Manage employee relations issues, including conflict resolution and performance management.
  • Coach managers and employees on performance management, including company performance reviews and Individual Development Plans (IDP).
  • Provide guidance and advice on employment-related issues, including interpretation of company policies and procedures.
Talent Management:
  • Support managers and employees with performance management and objective setting.
  • Provide advice and counsel on performance management strategy.
  • Facilitate training and learning sessions as required.
Governance:
  • Develop and implement HR policies, ensuring alignment with project goals and legal requirements.
  • Monitor compliance with labor laws and internal policies.
  • Advocate for diversity and inclusion, promoting a culture of equity within the project.
Requirements
  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources Management or Project Administration.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a progressive HR role.
  • Bilingualism (English and French) Oral and Written.
  • Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office.
  • Solid working knowledge of major elements of Human Resources and its systems and processes.
