Human Resources Business Partner

At NorQuest College, we're seeking a talented Human Resources Business Partner to join our team. As a key member of our People and Culture portfolio, you'll play a vital role in co-creating exceptional and inclusive employee experiences.
The successful candidate will possess a strong understanding of human resources disciplines, including workforce planning, organizational design, total rewards, talent acquisition, competency and performance management, and career development. They will also have the ability to develop relationships and communicate effectively with individuals and groups across all levels of the organization.
This is a full-time permanent position with a salary range of $87,095 to $108,899. The ideal candidate will be able to provide proactive, collaborative, and solution-oriented support in all facets of Human Resources, approaching activities through the lens of equity, diversity, and inclusion.
Responsibilities:- Develop a strong understanding of client needs to provide consultative support on HR issues
- Support the implementation of people and talent management approaches and processes
- Evaluate new positions and assess those submitted for classification review
- Provide Talent Acquisition advice and support recruitment processes for senior level and leadership roles
- Interpret and advise on Collective Agreements, Policies, Procedures, Terms and Conditions of Employment, and relevant legislative frameworks
- Consult with leaders on aspects of performance development and management
- Support exit interviews, departmental reviews, team development initiatives, employee focus groups, and conflict resolution discussions
- Conduct workplace investigations and develop high-quality reports and recommendations
- Degree in Human Resources or a related field
- 5+ years' experience as an HR generalist with a business partner approach
- Certified Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) designation preferred
- Experience working within a post-secondary or public organization desired
