Director of Human Resources and Talent Development

**Company Overview:** NBM Railways, a leading short-line railroads company, is seeking a seasoned Director of Human Resources to join their leadership team in Saint John, New Brunswick.
The successful candidate will be responsible for driving strategic alignment of HR operations, talent management, and employee engagement. Reporting to the Divisional Director of Human Resources, you will partner with leaders across the business to achieve exceptional performance through progressive HR strategies and programs.
Salary: The estimated annual salary range for this position is $82,000 - $120,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
About the Role:
- Partner with senior leaders to identify, develop, and execute human resources strategies, programs, and processes;
- Lead recruitment and talent acquisition efforts to ensure adequate staffing levels;
- Coach and develop HR professionals who serve as primary points of contact with employees, leaders, shared services, and external contacts;
- Oversee the rollout of critical HR programs, including attraction and retention, workforce planning, performance management, leadership development, compensation, and employee engagement;
- Anticipate business needs and provide HR leadership, solutions, and coaching;
- Contribute to building a positive culture that fosters accountability and teamwork.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 10 years of progressive human resources experience, including strong leadership experience;
- Post-secondary education in a related field, such as Human Resources or Business Administration;
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, planning, and analytical skills;
- Depth of generalist HR experience covering various competency areas.
