About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Administrative Assistant to join our team at Dr. Mehrdad Ghassem Boland Medical Corporation. As a Medical Administrative Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our medical office.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate Office Operations: Manage the flow of information, maintain filing systems, and ensure that all administrative tasks are completed in a timely manner.
  • Provide Administrative Support: Assist with scheduling appointments, ordering supplies, and maintaining inventory.
  • Enter and Format Medical Reports: Accurately enter and format medical reports and correspondence, and prepare spreadsheets and documents for review.
  • Maintain Confidential Records: Initiate and maintain confidential medical files and records, ensuring that all sensitive information is handled with discretion.
  • Provide Customer Service: Offer exceptional customer service to patients, responding to their inquiries and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Support for Newcomers and Refugees: Assist newcomers and refugees with foreign credential recognition, and provide diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment.
  • Support for Indigenous People: Offer mentorship, coaching, and networking opportunities for Indigenous workers, and provide cultural competency training to all employees.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a medical administrative role.
Work Environment
  • Work Language: English.
  • Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week.
