Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year

Job Description:We are seeking an experienced Administrative Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating seminars, conferences, and other events, as well as training other workers. They will also record meeting minutes, establish office procedures, schedule appointments, and order office supplies.
The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of experience in an administrative role and possess excellent organizational and communication skills. They must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:- Coordinate seminars, conferences, and other events
- Train other workers on various topics
- Record and prepare meeting minutes
- Determine and establish office procedures and routines
- Schedule and confirm appointments
- Order office supplies and maintain inventory
- Greet people and direct them to contacts or service areas
- Set up and maintain manual and computerized information filing systems
- Type and proofread correspondence, forms, and other documents
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the social and labour market integration of newcomers and refugees. This may include facilitating access to community resources, language training, and skills training.
The candidate will also recruit newcomers and refugees who were displaced by conflict or natural disaster and support them with foreign credential recognition. Additionally, they will offer mentorship programs that pair newcomers and refugees with experienced employees and provide diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment.
Support for Indigenous People:The successful candidate will also provide support to Indigenous people through mentorship, coaching, and networking opportunities. They will develop and maintain relationships with Indigenous communities, businesses, and organizations and provide cultural competency training to all employees.
Working Conditions:This is a permanent position working 30 hours per week. The work language is English.
