Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Administrative Coordinator for Social Programs to join our team at Big Fresh. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating administrative activities, developing and maintaining relationships with indigenous communities, and overseeing office procedures.

About the Role
  • Job Type: Full-time
  • Salary: $45,000 - $55,000 per year (dependent on experience)
  • Location: Big Fresh Head Office

This is a permanent position working 30 hours per week with a dynamic team. As an Administrative Coordinator, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in supporting newcomers, refugees, and indigenous peoples.

About You
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of administration experience
  • Language: English

Responsibilities
  • Coordinating administrative procedures: Review and evaluate new administrative procedures, delegate work to office support staff, establish work priorities, and ensure procedures are followed and deadlines are met.
  • Supporting social programs: Recruits newcomers and/or refugees who were displaced by a conflict or a natural disaster, develops and maintains relationships with indigenous communities, indigenous-owned businesses, and organizations.
  • Overseeing office operations: Carries out administrative activities of establishment, coordinates and plans for office services, assembles data, prepares periodic and special reports, manuals, and correspondence.
