Volt Raceway is a leading electric go-karting facility that offers an electrifying experience for customers. We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to join our team as a Track Monitor.

About the Job

This is a dynamic role that requires strong communication skills, both verbal and written. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety of participants, inspecting the track surface, providing driver briefings, and responding to emergencies.

Responsibilities:
  • Safety Oversight: Ensuring all participants adhere to safety guidelines and regulations.
  • Track Inspection: Regularly inspecting the track surface, barriers, signage, and other infrastructure for any hazards or damage.
  • Driver Briefings: Providing pre-race or pre-session briefings to drivers, including instructions on track rules, safety protocols, and flag meanings.
  • Flagging: Displaying flags to communicate with drivers during races or sessions.
  • Emergency Response: Being prepared to respond quickly and effectively to emergencies, including medical incidents, fires, or other critical situations.
Requirements:
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to enforce safety rules and regulations effectively.
  • Knowledge of basic first aid and emergency response is an asset.
  • Familiarity with go-karting or motorsports preferred.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks at once while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50lbs safely and effectively.
Qualifications:
  • Customer service experience.
  • Computer skills experience.
  • Teamwork experience.
  • Initiative, reliability, professionalism, and ambition.
  • Track or motorsports experience is an asset but not required.
Working Conditions:

The ideal candidate will have flexible working hours, including day shifts, but may also include evenings, weekends, and holidays. They will collaborate with the management team, including customers, staff, and suppliers in a dynamic and fast-paced indoor go-kart facility environment.
