Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Land Use Policy Coordinator to oversee and manage zoning regulations and land use policies, ensuring compliance with local zoning codes and ordinances.

About the Role
  • Administer and enforce local zoning codes, land use regulations, and development policies.
  • Review and process zoning applications, permits, and variances, ensuring they meet all regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to assess compliance with zoning regulations and address any issues or violations.
  • Provide guidance and support to property owners, developers, and the public regarding zoning regulations, land use policies, and permit processes.
  • Prepare and present reports, recommendations, and documentation related to zoning matters and land use planning.
  • Collaborate with municipal planning departments, legal teams, and other stakeholders to address zoning issues and support development projects.
  • Stay informed about changes in zoning laws, land use policies, and industry best practices to ensure effective administration and compliance.
  • Assist in the development and revision of zoning codes and land use policies to reflect community goals and regulatory changes.
Requirements
  • Relevant certification or diploma in Urban Planning, Public Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a zoning administrator, planning technician, or in a similar role with a strong understanding of zoning codes and land use regulations.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret and apply complex regulations and policies.
  • Strong communication skills for interacting with property owners, developers, and municipal officials.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills for managing applications, documentation, and compliance records.
  • Ability to stay current with evolving zoning laws, land use policies, and industry trends.
Compensation and Benefits

The estimated salary range for this role is $65,000 - $90,000 per annum, depending on experience. We offer a competitive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
