Lightspeed is on the hunt for a highly driven Sales Development Representative to join our rapidly expanding North American/Outbound Sales team. As a key player in driving revenue growth, you will be responsible for generating and qualifying leads, paving the way for potential new customers to interact with the Lightspeed brand.
Your role will have a direct impact on advancing Lightspeed's mission of empowering retailers and restaurateurs with innovative technology. With years of refining and optimizing our strategy in a focused market, our Outbound team is in hyper-growth mode and ready to scale. We're seeking an individual who is passionate about helping entrepreneurs ignite their businesses to contribute to this success.
About the Role
- Identify and introduce our products to decision-makers through various communication channels, including phone, email, and in-person interactions.
- Engage and qualify new leads through multiple channels, including phone, email, text, and social media platforms.
- Participate in the development of our local presence by being one of the early members of a new outbound sales team.
- Collaborate with inbound sales teams, ensuring a seamless handoff to Account Executives for software demonstrations to prospective customers.
- Work closely with marketing and sales teams to develop strategies that enhance our sales pipeline based on your conversations and feedback from prospects.
- Maintain consistent performance, meeting clearly defined monthly, quarterly, and annual goals.
What You'll Need
- A background in sales or call center experience, with a drive to consistently meet or exceed targets.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills, including strong listening, verbal, and written communication abilities.
- Tech-savviness, enabling you to effectively explain complex technology concepts to others.
- Strong written and spoken English language proficiency.
- An entrepreneurial mindset, coupled with agility and a bias towards action, allowing you to adapt and pivot when necessary to meet business needs.
Bonus Points
- Prior experience within the retail or eCommerce industry.
- Familiarity with point-of-sale systems or other technologies (e.g., software, mobile applications).
