About Our Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced District Traffic Supervisor to join our team at the Government of Nova Scotia. As a key member of our District Highway Operations Division, you will play a critical role in managing various programs, functions, and activities throughout our province.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategic plans for the administration of regulatory and warning devices.
  • Represent the District on matters pertaining to Transportation Engineering.
  • Implement and manage specialized support for the District.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including government agencies, community groups, and the public.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A diploma in Civil Engineering Technology or a related field.
  • At least six years of experience in a related field, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Strong knowledge of traffic and transportation principles, as well as traffic operational and control operations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
