About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at 2717161 Ontario Limited. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading the kitchen and ensuring that our menu offerings meet the highest standards of quality and presentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning and Execution
    • Develop and implement new menu ideas and specials to drive sales and customer satisfaction
    • Source high-quality ingredients and suppliers to ensure consistency and freshness
    • Collaborate with the culinary team to execute menu plans and ensure timely delivery
  • Team Leadership and Development
    • Lead and motivate a team of cooks and kitchen staff to achieve exceptional results
    • Provide training and coaching to develop skills and knowledge
    • Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to improve team performance
  • Inventory Management and Cost Control
    • Manage inventory levels and optimize stock to minimize waste and reduce costs
    • Monitor and control food costs to ensure profitability
    • Develop and implement strategies to reduce waste and improve efficiency
  • Customer Service and Quality Assurance
    • Ensure that all menu items meet high standards of quality and presentation
    • Respond to customer complaints and feedback to improve service and quality
    • Conduct regular quality checks to ensure consistency and excellence
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
    • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in a senior chef role
  • Skills and Qualifications
    • Proven track record of success in a senior chef role
    • Excellent leadership and communication skills
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
    • Strong attention to detail and quality control
    • Ability to train and develop team members
Working Conditions

The Executive Chef will work in a fast-paced kitchen environment with a team of cooks and kitchen staff. The ideal candidate will be able to work in a physically demanding environment and lift up to 25 kg.
