Speech Pathology Professional

We are seeking a skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team. As a Speech Language Pathologist with VHA Home HealthCare, you will provide consultation, assessment, and planned interventions for diverse client groups across Southern Ontario and the Capital region.
Your key areas of accountability will include:
• Assessing and diagnosing clients through the selection and administration of standardized and non-standardized tests;
• Identifying and teaching self-management strategies to help clients recognize and avoid unsafe situations;
• Discussing clinically significant information with physicians or other members of the healthcare team;
• Assisting in client discharge planning in conjunction with the client, family members, and other members of the healthcare team;
• Maintaining accurate and comprehensive written documentation of client care in accordance with existing legal, professional, and VHA standards;
• Staying up-to-date on current developments in Speech Language Pathology and community services appropriate for treatment populations;
• Adhering to the code of ethics of the profession and maintaining standards of practice as defined by the Ontario College of Audiologists and Speech Language Pathologists;
Qualified candidates will possess a Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology, membership in good standing with the College of Audiologists and Speech Language Pathologists of Ontario, eligibility for membership in the Ontario Association of Speech Language Pathologists and Audiologists, and at least two years of clinical experience and knowledge of community care requirements and resources available.
This is a permanent position with a competitive salary range of $80,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on experience. Additionally, VHA Home HealthCare offers a benefits and pension plan for eligible employees, comprehensive orientation and training, and a commitment to diversity and inclusion.
