Professional Speech Language Pathologist Opportunity in Ontario

Job OverviewWe are seeking a skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team in Southern Ontario and the Capital region. This role involves providing consultation, assessment, and planned interventions for diverse client groups referred through VHA Rehab Solutions and Champlain Rehab Solutions. The successful candidate will work within a continuous quality improvement framework, promoting good public relations with clients, customers, and VHA staff, volunteers, and associates.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and diagnose clients across all age groups using standardized and non-standardized tests.
- Teach self-management strategies to help clients recognize and avoid unsafe situations.
- Discuss clinically significant information with physicians or other healthcare team members.
- Assist with client discharge planning in collaboration with clients, family members, and healthcare teams.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive written documentation of client care in accordance with legal, professional, and VHA standards.
- Stay up-to-date with current developments in Speech Language Pathology and Community Services relevant to treatment populations.
- Adhere to the code of ethics of the profession, maintaining standards of practice as defined by the Ontario College of Audiologists and Speech Language Pathologists.
- A Master's Degree or equivalent in Speech Language Pathology.
- Membership in good standing with the College of Audiologists and Speech Language Pathologists of Ontario.
- Eligibility for membership in the Ontario Association of Speech Language Pathologists and Audiologists.
- A minimum of two years' clinical experience and knowledge of community care requirements and resources available.
- Clinical expertise to provide various speech language pathology interventions.
- A competitive salary range of $95,000 - $115,000 per year.
