About the Role
The Natrona County School District is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Special Education Speech Language Therapist to join our team of professionals committed to providing exceptional education services to students.
Job Summary
We are looking for a passionate and experienced Speech Language Pathologist who can assess, diagnose, and treat students with communication disorders. As a member of our special education team, you will work closely with teachers, parents, and other support staff to develop and implement individualized treatment plans that cater to the unique needs of each student.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of students' communication skills to identify areas of strength and weakness.
- Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans to address speech and language deficits.
- Provide direct therapy services to students in various settings, including classrooms, clinics, and homes.
- Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to integrate speech and language goals into students' Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of student progress and communicate regularly with parents and educators.
- Prioritize and manage multiple caseloads, ensuring timely and effective delivery of services.
- Stay up-to-date with best practices and research in the field of speech-language pathology, incorporating new techniques and strategies into practice as needed.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must possess:
- A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- A valid Speech Pathology License from the State of Wyoming Board of Speech Pathology and Audiology.
- Strong assessment and intervention skills, with experience working with students with diverse communication needs.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
- A commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with best practices in the field.
Compensation and Benefits
The estimated salary range for this position is $65,000-$80,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. Additionally, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
