Job Description

The Business Operations Director will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to enhance Inuit employment and training initiatives. This will involve research, analysis, and policy recommendations to ensure the effective management of projects and programs. The successful candidate will also oversee the Mikigiaqta Inuit Training Corporation and its associated funding as outlined in the 2015 Settlement Agreement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage complex projects to achieve Inuit employment and training objectives;
  • Oversee project budgets and financial management;
  • Collaborate with NTI departments and staff to implement the May 4, 2015 Settlement Agreement;
  • Provide leadership and guidance to team members to achieve project goals;
  • Conduct research and analysis to inform policy recommendations and program design;
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Experience in developing and managing complex projects;
  • Strong knowledge of financial management, legislations, audit and evaluation, policy development, program design or delivery;
  • Good understanding of employee recruitment and planning systems;
  • Experience in mentorship, coaching, and training;
  • Fluency in Inuktut (an asset);
What We Offer

In exchange for your skills and experience, we offer a competitive salary range of $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
