Director of Access to Information and Protection of Privacy

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Access to Information and Protection of Privacy to join our team in Northern Canada.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to access to information and protection of privacy.
This is a priority hiring opportunity for Nunavut Inuit.
The Director will work closely with the Department of Executive and Intergovernmental Affairs to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
The salary for this position is $118,977 to $169,969, and the location is Iqaluit, NU.
The successful candidate will be eligible for a Nunavut Northern Allowance of $16,008 per annum.

Job DescriptionThe Director of Access to Information and Protection of Privacy will be responsible for:
- Developing and implementing policies and procedures related to access to information and protection of privacy
- Leading the development of procedures for responding to access to information requests
- Providing guidance and support to employees on access to information and protection of privacy
- Coordinating with the Department of Executive and Intergovernmental Affairs to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of access to information and protection of privacy laws and regulations, as well as excellent leadership and communication skills.
