Parks Canada Agency is a federal government agency responsible for the protection and presentation of Canada's natural and cultural resources. Our team in Nunavut works closely with Inuit partners to manage five national parks, one national historic site and one national marine conservation area.

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Technical Services Director to join our team in Nunavut. The primary purpose of this role is to assist the Asset Manager with managing files related to the construction, purchase, maintenance, renovation and improvement of a diverse and complex group of assets in the Nunavut Field Unit.

  • Oversee and coordinate contractors and staff to ensure the regular operations and maintenance of existing assets.
  • Strategic and technical planning to execute multi-year projects with complex logistics and specific transport requirements.
  • Conducting regular inspections of existing assets.
  • Development of plans and strategies to ensure that the assets are functioning well and maintained adequately.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A secondary school diploma or employer-approved combination of experience, training and education.
  • Experience in managing contracting and procurement processes.
  • Experience coordinating multi-disciplinary teams of engineers, technical specialists, consultants and/or contractors.
  • Experience in planning and implementing asset management programs, coordinating complex logistics, with assets associated with infrastructure and fleets.
What We Offer:

We offer a competitive salary range of $85,000 to $115,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, dental insurance, and pension plan.
