Job Summary

Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a skilled Indigenous Care Coordinator to join their team at the HOpe Center in North Vancouver. This role will involve working with a multidisciplinary community team to provide treatment services, including crisis intervention and group facilitation, to clients dually diagnosed with mental health and addictions.

As an Indigenous Care Coordinator, you will work closely with clients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive support and guidance.

Responsibilities
  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver treatment services and support clients with mental health and addiction issues
  • Provide crisis intervention and group facilitation services to clients
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including physicians, government agencies, and community organizations, to ensure seamless client care
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a behavioural science from a recognized program
  • Two years' recent experience working in Indigenous-led or First Nations organizations providing mental health and substance use clinical services
  • Valid BC Driver's License
  • Pursuant to Section 41 of the British Columbia Human Rights Code, preference will be given to individuals of Indigenous identity (First Nations, Inuit, Metis)

The estimated salary for this role is CAD $45,000 - CAD $55,000 per year, depending on experience. Please note that this estimate may vary based on factors such as location and qualifications.
