About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Secretary to join our team at Bank Medical Centre. As a Medical Secretary, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our medical office.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Communication: Interview patients to obtain comprehensive case histories, ensuring accurate and detailed information is recorded.
  • Scheduling and Coordination: Schedule and confirm appointments, ensuring seamless communication with patients and healthcare providers.
  • Administrative Tasks: Complete insurance and other claim forms, maintain accurate filing systems, and order supplies as needed.
  • Technical Skills: Enter and format medical reports and correspondence, prepare spreadsheets and documents for review, and perform data entry tasks.
  • Confidentiality and Security: Initiate and maintain confidential medical files and records, ensuring the highest level of security and discretion.
  • Communication and Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, prepare draft agendas for meetings, and take, transcribe, and distribute minutes.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a medical office setting.
  • Computer and Technology Skills: Proficient in MS Excel and other relevant software applications.
  • Work Environment: Fast-paced environment requiring attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Personal Qualities: Accurate, efficient, excellent oral and written communication skills, judgement, organized, reliable, and a team player.
