Orientation Program Facilitator

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate individual to join our team as an Orientation Program Facilitator - Trauma-Informed Care Specialist. This role is critical in supporting our mission of providing trauma-informed care services to individuals fleeing abuse.
About the Role:This position involves leading and presenting Shelter Movers' Trauma-Informed Care Orientation sessions to volunteers completing our onboarding process. The successful candidate will work closely with the Orientation Supervisor/Volunteer Services Manager, coordinating with other facilitators and the Volunteer Services team.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver 1-2 Trauma-Informed Care Orientation sessions per month, engaging volunteer applicants through interactive training sessions.
- Gather and share knowledge on critical concepts of Violence Against Women and Shelter Movers' procedures, values, and impact.
- Maintain regular check-ins with the Orientation Supervisor/Volunteer Services Manager to ensure seamless communication.
- Coordinate with other facilitators and the Volunteer Services team to achieve shared goals.
- Review the Trauma-Informed Care Orientation content for any updates before each presentation.
- Strong teamwork and leadership skills, with experience in facilitating virtual orientation sessions.
- Familiarity with navigating Zoom as a host/presenter.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to handle sensitive conversations.
- Patience, empathy, emotional intelligence, active listening skills, and awareness of appropriate boundaries.
- Experience working with diverse backgrounds and populations.
- Able to apply an anti-oppressive lens to individuals, ensuring inclusive practices.
- Tact, discretion, high maturity level, and good judgment.
- Reliable work habits and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to protect client and volunteer confidentiality.
- A long-term interest in the Gender-Based Violence Sector (GBV) or Volunteer Management/Non-Profit Management.

Estimated Salary Range: $35,000-$50,000 per year, depending on location and experience. We offer a competitive compensation package that reflects the value we place on our team members.
