Technical Support Specialist for Cardiology Clinics

About the RoleThis is a fixed-term contract position as a Technical Support Specialist for our IT Help Desk team.
The successful candidate will provide exceptional technical support to our users, ensuring their systems and applications are functioning effectively.
The salary for this role is $55,000 per year.
Job DescriptionKey Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support to users via email, remote, and on-site assistance.
- Analyze and diagnose problems while developing and implementing solutions within narrow timelines.
- Enable support for system access, including creating and managing user accounts.
- Respond to technical issues and enquiries, investigating and diagnosing problems, restoring service when possible, and assigning incidents to next-level support teams as required.
- Support the company's core business applications and cloud-based platforms for installation and configuration.
- Set up new computers and provide production support to users.
- Maintain awareness of current initiatives, rollouts, and changes to the technical environment.
- Periodically inspect locations and ensure IT-related equipment cleanliness and cabling tidiness.
- Ongoing training and explanations to optimize hardware and software usage.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a diverse technology and customer service-focused role.
- Post-secondary education in a related IT area or equivalent technical training and experience.
- Solid knowledge of desktop products and operating systems (Windows environment only).
- Familiarity with networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routers, switches, WiFi access points) and basic network connectivity issues and troubleshooting.
- Experience supporting back-office applications and industry-standard business software applications, including MS Office and Outlook.
- Strong understanding of hosted applications and resources, as well as information security best practices.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Good initiative, solid problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently.

This role is based at our Mississauga Head Office, and travel to our different clinics within the GTA is required.
The schedule for the position is 9:00 am - 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday, with additional hours including evenings and weekends may be required based on IT operational needs.
