As an IT Helpdesk professional with experience in Healthcare, you will provide exceptional technical support to our users, ensuring their systems and applications are functioning effectively. You will be the initial point of contact for technical problems, investigating and diagnosing issues, restoring service if possible, and assigning incidents to next-level support teams when required.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Enable support for system access, including creating and managing user accounts
  2. Provide timely investigation and diagnosis of technical issues, recording incidents in our ticket system
  3. Restore service whenever possible and assign incidents to next-level support teams as required
  4. Answer technical questions regarding personal computer hardware, software, and accessories deployed within the company
  5. Support core business applications and cloud-based platforms for installation and configuration
  6. Set up new computers and provide production support to users
  7. Maintain awareness of current initiatives, rollouts, and changes to the technical environment
  8. Periodically inspect locations to ensure IT-related equipment cleanliness and cabling tidiness, collecting user feedback for continuous improvement
  9. Optimize hardware and software use by training users and providing explanations and follow-ups

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary education in a related IT area or equivalent business or technical training/experience
  • Solid knowledge and demonstrated experience using desktop products and operating systems (Windows environment)
  • Familiarity with networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routers, switches, WiFi access points) and basic level network connectivity issues and troubleshooting
  • Experience supporting back-office applications and industry-standard business software applications, including MS Office and Outlook
  • Strong understanding of LAN/WAN based networking, Windows networking, Wireless, and VoIP technologies
  • Good initiative with solid problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently
