About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Executive Chef to join our team at Chef of India. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods that meet the highest standards of quality and presentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan menus and estimate food requirements for special events and daily operations
  • Determine the size of food portions and costs to ensure profitability
  • Requisition food and kitchen supplies to maintain inventory levels
  • Supervise kitchen staff and helpers to ensure efficient workflow
  • Maintain accurate records of food, supplies, and equipment
  • Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and safety standards
Cooking Specialties

As an expert in East Indian cuisine, you will be responsible for creating and presenting dishes that showcase the rich flavors and aromas of this traditional culinary style.

Requirements
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year
  • Will train, but prior experience in a commercial kitchen is an asset

  • Fast-paced environment with frequent standing and repetitive tasks
  • Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
Salary Information

The salary range for this position is approximately $35,000-$45,000 per year, depending on experience.
