About the Role

TalentSphere Staffing Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Geotechnical Engineer to join our team as a Project Manager. As a key member of our engineering consulting firm, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and support in the project management process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical guidance and support to project teams in the design and construction process.
  • Work closely with clients to manage the application and permitting process with municipalities.
  • Maintain and cultivate positive business relationships with existing and prospective clients, external bodies, and internal teams.
  • Travel to project sites within Ontario, GTA, to oversee borehole drilling, geotechnical assessments, and conduct design, analysis, and report writing.
Requirements
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in a Geotechnical Engineering role.
  • Knowledge of geotechnical engineering principles and practices.
  • Ability to assist in office management, client interfacing, and business development.
  • Positive attitude, perseverance, grit, and ability to adapt to new sales and business development.
  • Problem-solving skills, handling issues with tact and responsibility internally and externally.
  • Coachability, open to working with senior leadership to improve skills and implement new strategies.
  • College or University education mandatory, Bachelors degree or Diploma mandatory. Masters education preferred.
  • P.Eng certification through PEO mandatory, or ability to certify.
  • Experience in projects related to pavement design, tunnelling, slope stability, railways, water infrastructure, and land development highly preferred.
  • Valid license and/or means of transportation to visit project sites.
  • AutoCAD, MS Office.
