About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join our team at EXP. As a key member of our Geotechnical Division, you will be responsible for providing technical services and project management to a variety of projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Maintain Business Relationships

Establish and maintain strong business relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.

Prepare Proposals and Project Plans

Develop comprehensive proposals and project plans, including cost estimates and timelines, to secure new business and deliver projects on time.

Lead Geotechnical Engineering Projects

Plan, coordinate, and execute geotechnical engineering projects, including investigations, monitoring, and testing services, to ensure successful project delivery.

Manage Project Teams

Lead and manage project teams, including junior and intermediate engineers, to achieve project objectives and deliver high-quality results.

Develop and Implement Geotechnical Solutions

Develop and implement geotechnical solutions, including design and analysis, to meet client needs and project requirements.

Collaborate with Stakeholders

Collaborate with clients, contractors, consultants, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery and meet client needs.

Requirements
  • P.Eng. Designation from Ontario

A Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation from the Province of Ontario is required.

Relevant Experience

A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in geotechnical engineering, preferably in a consulting engineering environment, with a focus on tunneling projects.

Education

A Bachelor's Degree in Geotechnical, Civil, or Geological Engineering, with a post-graduate degree preferred.

Leadership and Management Skills

Proven leadership and management skills, including experience in managing engineering teams and developing comprehensive scopes of work.

Business Development Skills

Proven business development skills, including experience in generating geotechnical services on projects and taking on new clients.

Communication and Interpersonal Skills

Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to exercise diplomacy and tact when interacting with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders.

Technical Skills

Advanced computer analysis experience and familiarity with standard construction procedures and methodologies.
