Construction Estimator

Job Summary:
AC Cut is seeking a skilled Construction Estimator to join our team. As a key member of our estimating department, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and detailed estimates of labour and material costs for construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Estimate Preparation: Prepare estimates of labour and/or material costs for construction projects, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Pre-qualification Submissions: Prepare pre-qualification submissions to present to clients, highlighting our company's capabilities and expertise.
- Estimate Reports: Create and submit estimate reports, quote sheets, and bid forms, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
- Tender Analysis: Analyze tenders and recommend awards, ensuring the best value for our clients.
- Supply and Contractor Directory: Maintain a directory of supplies and trade contractors, ensuring easy access to relevant information.
- Communication: Liaise, consult, and communicate with engineers, architects, owners, contractors, and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates.
- Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications, ensuring accurate understanding of project requirements.
Requirements:
- Commercial and Industrial Experience: Commercial and/or industrial construction experience is required, with a focus on estimating and cost management.
- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and organizational skills are essential for accurate estimate preparation and timely delivery.
- Team Player: Ability to work effectively in a team environment, communicating with colleagues and stakeholders to achieve project goals.
