Construction Estimator

We are seeking a skilled Construction Estimator to join our team at Baycrest Project & Construction Management. As a leading construction company in the GTA, we specialize in industrial, commercial, and institutional projects and are driven by a deep commitment to our work.
In this role, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for a variety of construction projects. This includes conducting detailed quantity take-offs to ensure all materials, labor, and equipment needs are fully accounted for. You will work closely with project managers, subcontractors, architects, and suppliers to develop estimates that align with project specifications and goals.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction estimation, with experience in conducting detailed quantity take-offs using industry-standard software such as Planswift, Bluebeam, or similar. You will also have excellent analytical and mathematical skills, with a keen eye for detail, and be able to read and interpret architectural drawings, plans, and specifications with accuracy.

Key Responsibilities- Conduct detailed quantity take-offs to ensure accurate cost estimates.
- Develop estimates that align with project specifications and goals.
- Work closely with project managers, subcontractors, architects, and suppliers to ensure accurate estimates.
- Conduct site visits to gather information and ensure accurate estimates.
- Prepare and present estimates to project managers and clients.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a Construction Estimator.
- Post-secondary education in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong proficiency in conducting detailed quantity take-offs using industry-standard software.
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, plans, and specifications with accuracy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
