Construction Estimator (Railway Track) Job Description

TRS Staffing Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Construction Estimator to join our team. As a Construction Estimator, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing construction estimates for large-scale and complex projects, with a focus on railway track construction.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and implement construction estimates for railway track construction projects, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  2. Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure that estimates are aligned with project goals and objectives.
  3. Analyze and interpret construction drawings and blueprints to ensure that estimates are accurate and comprehensive.
  4. Develop and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders to ensure that their needs are met and expectations are exceeded.
  5. Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices to ensure that estimates are accurate and effective.

Requirements:

  • University degree or technical college diploma in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
  • Over 8 years of hands-on experience estimating large-scale and complex projects, with expertise across various areas (civil, structures, track, stations).
  • Experience specifically related to railway track construction.
  • Proficient in analyzing intricate construction drawings and blueprints.
  • Possesses a deep understanding of construction methods, contracts, and cost control techniques.
  • Demonstrates advanced proficiency in standard Microsoft software (Excel, Word, etc.), along with additional experience in Adobe, Visio, and Bluebeam.
  • Exhibits exceptional interpersonal skills, fostering strong relationships.
  • Communicates effectively and pays meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proven leadership abilities, inspiring teams to achieve outstanding results.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills, ensuring efficiency in time-sensitive situations.
  • Approaches work with a results-oriented mindset and unwavering commitment to quality and excellence.
