Job Title: Truck Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Truck Operations Manager to join our team at Socla Trucking Inc. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of our trucking operations, ensuring that our drivers and vehicles are operating safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and Coordinate Trucking Operations: Oversee the daily activities of our trucking operations, including dispatching drivers, monitoring routes, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
  • Train and Develop Drivers: Provide training and coaching to our drivers to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their jobs safely and efficiently.
  • Manage Driver Performance: Monitor and evaluate driver performance, providing feedback and coaching to improve their skills and address any issues.
  • Coordinate with Other Departments: Work closely with other departments, including dispatch, maintenance, and customer service, to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
Requirements:
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a supervisory or management role in the trucking industry.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 40 hours per week.
Support for Newcomers and Refugees:
  • Recruit and Support Newcomers: Recruit and support newcomers and refugees who have been displaced by conflict or natural disaster.
  • Provide Mentorship and Training: Provide mentorship and training to newcomers and refugees to help them integrate into the workforce.
  • Facilitate Cultural Competency Training: Facilitate cultural competency training to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and refugees.
Support for Indigenous People:
  • Offer Mentorship and Coaching: Offer mentorship and coaching to Indigenous workers to help them develop their skills and advance in their careers.
  • Develop Relationships with Indigenous Communities: Develop and maintain relationships with Indigenous communities, Indigenous-owned businesses, and organizations.
  • Provide Cultural Competency Training: Provide cultural competency training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers.
Support for Visible Minorities:
  • Apply Hiring Policies: Apply hiring policies that discourage discrimination against members of visible minorities.
  • Offer Mentorship Programs: Offer mentorship programs that pair members of visible minorities with experienced employees.
  • Provide Diversity and Cross-Cultural Training: Provide diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment for members of visible minorities.
