About the Role

Socla Trucking Inc is seeking a highly skilled Truck Operations Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our operations department, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of our trucking operations, ensuring that our fleet is running efficiently and safely.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operations Management: Supervise and coordinate the activities of our trucking operations, including dispatching, route planning, and scheduling.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and motivate a team of truck drivers and support staff to achieve our operational goals.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and analyze reports on operational performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
  • Training and Development: Provide training and coaching to our drivers and support staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their jobs effectively.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to our clients, responding to their needs and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
Support for Diverse Groups
  • Newcomer and Refugee Support: Recruit and support newcomers and refugees who are displaced by conflict or natural disaster, providing them with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in our industry.
  • Indigenous Support: Develop and maintain relationships with indigenous communities, providing them with opportunities for mentorship, coaching, and networking.
  • Visible Minority Support: Apply hiring policies that discourage discrimination against members of visible minorities, providing them with opportunities for mentorship and career advancement.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a supervisory or management role.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 40 hours per week.
