We are looking for a highly skilled Taxation professional to join our team as Senior Manager Taxation. In this role, you will play a key part in shaping our tax strategy and ensuring compliance with Canadian tax requirements.
Salary
The estimated salary for this position is between $123,000 and $196,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. This is a regular full-time management role with opportunities for growth and development.
Job Description
In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for providing tax advice to business units, monitoring tax developments, and staying current with changes in income tax legislation. You will also develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including tax authorities and industry professionals.
As Senior Manager Taxation, you will lead a team of tax professionals and provide mentoring and support to help them grow and develop in their careers.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, or a related field
- Professional designation (CPA), with levels I and II of the tax-in-depth courses completed
- At least 7-10 years of progressive experience in auditing and tax
- Minimum five years of experience working in the tax department of a large organization and/or experience working for a public accounting firm in the tax practice at a senior level
- Minimum two years' experience in a people leader position
- Advanced knowledge of tax and accounting concepts, applying and researching Canadian tax legislation, regulations, principles, and practices
